He served as one of the two main antagonist in the kazekage rescue arc a supporting antagonist in the three tails appearance arc and the main antagonist in the itachi pursuit mission arc. Deidara is one of the main villains of the animemanga series naruto. After defecting from the village he was forced into akatsuki and was its youngest member.

There deidara was partnered with sasori until the latters death and later with tobi before his own death.
